Hello Crocheters!

I’m Kari, your crochet-obsessed ringleader here at The Yarny Social. I’ve
been wrangling yarn for years, and if there is a medal for untangling a
skein without crying, I probably won’t earn it.

I stepped into the role of owner of The Yarny Social because I wanted
more out of a crochet event. I believe yarn isn’t just for making pretty
things—it’s for making meaningful connections, too.

This is a space where your crochet obsession is celebrated, mistakes
are just “design choices,” and unconventional fiber preferences will be
met with curiosity, not judgment (..unless it’s made entirely of
spaghetti—then I have logistical concerns).

I’ve taught crochet in places you wouldn’t expect and learned that a
hook, some yarn, and a room full of kind humans can be surprisingly life-
changing.

So come as you are, bring your favorite WIP- I’d love to have you join in!
